Plan a Presentation: From Idea to Delivery

Work through the columns from left to right.

Start early: allow approximately one week per column.

Enter the topic and guiding question: What exactly do I want to answer?

Use at least 3 sources, with one box per source containing the link and main point

Who wrote it? How current is it? Is the same information available elsewhere?

Introduction: hook and guiding question

Main section: 3 parts

Conclusion: answer to the guiding question

Use little text, large images, and one key message per slide

One page: outline, key facts, sources

Practise aloud twice, time yourself (stay within the required time), and speak freely using prompt cards

Look at the class, not at the slide

Prompt cards, handouts for everyone, and an additional copy of the file on a USB drive or in the cloud
