Instructions

  • Start two weeks before the test.
  • Week 1: understand and review the topics.
  • Week 2: practise tasks and test yourself.
  • 20 to 30 minutes per day is enough.

The Test (Example)

  • Subject: Mathematics
  • Date: DD.MM.
  • Topics: equivalent fractions and simplifying fractions, calculations with fractions using all four arithmetic operations

  • Review Topic 1: read through your exercise book and textbook, highlight key rules

Tuesday

  • Topic 1: write a summary in your own words

Wednesday

  • Review Topic 2: write down any unanswered questions

Thursday

  • Clarify unanswered questions: ask the teacher or watch an explainer video

Friday

  • Explain all topics aloud, e.g. to your parents or a cuddly toy

Monday

  • Complete practice tasks for Topic 1

Tuesday

  • Complete practice tasks for Topic 2 and note your mistakes

Wednesday

  • Practise yesterday's mistakes again

Thursday

  • Complete a practice test under timed conditions: an old test or worksheet in 45 minutes

Friday

  • Briefly review the key rules, then take a break and go to bed early
